After working two days I am now free for the rest of the week and it's looking promising wind and sun wise :) Mag and I had a 12 mile bike ride this morning with light winds, then after lunch I headed down to The Dip with the tide approaching low but the wind was a bit on the light side :( I rigged big and hoped the breeze would pick up, there was just enough wind to rail the board up on the short beat into the River Deben and in this direction you could sail 1200 metres in really flat water from the green bouy to the sailing club :) this would be fantastic on a shortboard in stronger wind - perhaps tomorrow ? After several runs enjoying the lovely views of Bawdsey Manor etc I headed out over the bumpy bar and reached nearly 4 mile to Wadgate post where I gybed and returned to the van for a snack! I then headed out again, back up the river hoping the wind had picked up? I hadn't in the river but managed to break 20 kts sailing broad out to sea, I then had several runs trying to get a 20 kt ave but missed out as the wind dropped :( I was still out over 3 hours in the sunshine and hoping a little windier tomorrow!
